Philippians 1:6 has long been a favorite verse of mine. My flesh is quite prone to perfectionism and people pleasing and will rather quickly run me ragged as I try to measure up in my own strength.
It’s not God’s plan.
Never has been.
He has begun the work He wants done in me.
He is the one who will complete that work.
He has given Himself until the day of Christ Jesus.
His redeeming salvation has already come.
Now He is about redeeming the moments of my days as He teaches me how to trust Him instead of striving on my own.
How to love Him instead of trying to earn His love for me.
How to obey Him instead of turning a deaf ear to Him.
My work in this redemption is one of obedience.
Thank You, Jesus for Your gift of redemption.
