I’ve been so excited to share a Glamour Farms post with you I can hardly stand it, y’all! Not only did I love this dress from the moment I saw it, but I have a special Christmas tour to share with you too. So without further ado, I give you Fashion Friday | Scarlett Dream Dress edition, and a coupon code to use just in time for Christmas too!
Fashion Friday | Scarlett Dream Dress
For the past several months I’ve been working with Glamour Farms on a Fashion Friday post. They usually send a package with a fun new dress or top and I style it several ways and write a post about it. This month I was able to change up that process just a little bit when I realized it wasn’t much of a detour to actually stop by the boutique on my way home from a family Thanksgiving. What fun that was!
So instead of opening a package from the mailbox, I pulled this month’s dress out of a fun Christmas gift bag right there in the middle of the Glamour Farms boutique. I was already excited to be there and meet more of the Glamour Farms staff, and then add to that the anticipation of what I would find under the red tissue in the shopping bag.
Oh, the suspense of it all! I think I squealed a little bit like a kid on Christmas morning. In my defense, I was surrounded by all things Christmas as the store was completely decked out for the season. But, y’all this dress rocks!

There are so many things to love about the Scarlett Dream Dress
Like many of us, I enjoy adding leggings to a dress in the winter. And, if I’m completely honest, I kind of like leggings throughout the year because who has time to maintain a tan all year long? And when you choose the Glamour Farms tummy tuck leggings, either cropped or ankle length, you get the added benefit of feeling a bit more “secure” in pretty much everything. This dress happens to be just a little longer in the back than the front too, which is a great feature.
I’m not exactly considered tall, but finding sleeves that are as long as I prefer is not always easy to do. These sleeves are a little longer than most, but not so long that they’re in the way at all. I’m 5’5″ and wearing a size medium in these pictures.
THE EASE OF WEAR
The rayon content makes it wrinkle resistant, comfortable and dressy all at once. Add to that the fact that the body of the dress is fully lined. So basically you slip it on and add dressy boots and leggings. Or for a dressier occasion, you can opt for some classic black heels.
THE STYLING OPTIONS
On first glance, it has a delicate dressy look that looks great with a beaded black choker. But switch out the choker for a statement necklace, add some tall black boots and a military jacket and you have a more edgy look with a feminine touch.
THE LACE DETAILING
I’ve mentioned before that I can be a bit of a fabric snob, it’s one of the hazards of being a seamstress. The black lace is super soft, with a ladder lace design along each edge, and the placement is intricate without being too fussy. The detail at the neckline doesn’t require jewelry, but just for fun, a beaded black choker adds a nice touch too.
THE FINISHING TOUCH
And just because, there’s a row of lace detailing at the sleeves too. Plus the burgundy color works for so many seasons and occasions throughout the year, I’m sure I’ll be wearing it into early spring with a pair of wedge sandals. And until then, it’s sure to be the dress of choice for a few Christmas events.
A Glamour Farms Boutique Christmas Tour
If you ever get the chance to stop by the boutique in southern Illinois, take it! But I will also advise that you allow an hour or two to wander and enjoy your time. Trust me, you’ll want it!
When you step through the front door onto the porch of the boutique, you’re quickly drawn in by the cozy Christmas decor. It’s a beautiful collection of greenery, packages and twinkle lights that make you want to slow down and take in every detail.
Like the classic red Radio Flyer holding brown paper packages tied up with burlap and tucked among this year’s classic plaid patterns. And the vintage red truck with a Christmas tree on the shopping bag is adorable even without a treasure inside, though it is nicer with a little surprise!
The boot collection itself includes lots of pairs to add to your wish list, and the display is just plain fun. And just in case you needed a shot from another angle…
Then you take a step up and you’re at the front counter and accessories, and oh my, the candles smell wonderful at this point!
The front counter room has all sorts of accessories from fashion to home to colorful thermoses. And, of course, more twinkle lights.
And when you turn around, it’s to the entire jewelry collection … go ahead and pull out that wish list again to add a few items
And don’t forget the rooms of clothes!
When you turn to the left, the hallway has several fun displays of outfits and purses leading to two rooms full of clothes and a spacious dressing room.
And more festive Christmas decor
The first room to the left houses much of the Missy Collection mixed in with more greenery and classic Christmas ornaments.
And the back room houses much of the Curvy Collection along with the shapewear collection.
Then finally there’s the dressing room and denim and jeggings collection.
As you stroll back towards the front of the store you begin to notice details you missed the first time, like the scarf collection …
And a wardrobe full of shapewear …
And a closet full of sweatshirts and blanket scarves
I spent about an hour walking around the store and was so impressed with the attention to details, from the clothing displays to the Christmas decor.
The definition of boutique is a small company that offers specialized services or products. Some stores use the word boutique because it sounds quaint. For Glamour Farms, it’s the perfect description for who they are and what they do. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the staff asking lots of questions and truly listening to the needs of each customer who came through the door.
A very Merry Christmas from Glamour Farms
As always, Glamour Farms has graciously offered a coupon code for SoMuchMoore readers.
Use the code SOMUCHMOORE021 to receive $10 off $20 or more of regularly priced merchandise between now and January 15, 2017. That means that you can save a little on Christmas gifts OR get a discount with some of that Christmas money you receive. Either way, you win!
So I’m a little curious, which room could you get completely lost in at the Glamour Farms Boutique?
And would you go with the dressier black beaded choker look for the Scarlett Dream Dress or are you more the military jacket type?
